Online Course, 4.5 CPD hours

Prepare your service for safe bispecific antibody delivery beyond the specialist centre

Specially designed for healthcare professionals introducing, expanding or supporting bispecific antibody pathways, this interactive online workshop will help you assess service readiness and develop practical approaches to outpatient treatment, longer-term monitoring and shared care.

Led by Elilta Samuel, Specialist Haemato-oncology Pharmacist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, the day combines focused presentations with patient cases and facilitated discussions. Explore which patients and treatment stages may be suitable for outpatient or closer-to-home delivery, clarify responsibilities across services and compare approaches with colleagues from across the UK.

Safe bispecific pathways

Strengthen service readiness and coordinate care across treatment settings

Introducing or expanding bispecific antibody treatment involves decisions about staffing, monitoring, patient suitability and access to specialist support. This workshop gives you time to examine those decisions, work through practical cases and identify what your service needs to progress. Key learning outcomes include:

•    Assessing your service’s readiness to introduce or expand bispecific antibody therapies
•    Identifying the workforce
, competencies, governance and infrastructure needed across the treatment pathway
•    Establishing consistent outpatient monitoring
and follow-up for longer-term infection and immunosuppression risks
•    Assessing patient suitability
for outpatient treatment through practical case discussion
•    Building effective shared-care
and repatriation pathways between specialist centres and local services
•    Clarifying monitoring
, communication and escalation responsibilities within a workable shared-care arrangement
•    Exploring which patients
, treatment stages and delivery models may support safe treatment closer to home
•    Using case studies
to identify the monitoring, competencies and specialist support needed for local delivery

Your interactive workshop

Test pathway decisions with colleagues and plan your next steps

This interactive online workshop combines presentations and questions with facilitated discussions, cases studies and a practical shared-care activity. On the day, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Discuss the gaps and barriers affecting your service’s readiness
  • Work through cases involving outpatient suitability, monitoring and escalation
  • Explore how specialist centres and local teams can agree workable shared-care and repatriation arrangements
  • Ask questions and draw on Elilta’s haemato-oncology pharmacy perspective
